CNG, or compressed natural gas, is commonly used for a variety of applications due to its clean-burning properties and efficiency. While it is frequently utilized as a fuel for vehicles, in electricity generation, and even for cooking purposes, its application in plastic manufacturing is not typical.

The primary use of CNG as a fuel source serves transportation needs, where it powers CNG vehicles, offering a more environmentally friendly alternative to gasoline or diesel. In electricity generation, it is favored for its lower emissions and ability to meet peak energy demands. Cooking with CNG is also prevalent in many regions, particularly where natural gas infrastructure exists.

In contrast, the use of CNG in plastic manufacturing is not a standard practice. While natural gas can be a precursor in the production of certain chemicals, plastics typically require different raw materials and processes that do not typically involve CNG directly. Therefore, it is accurate to state that CNG is not typically used for plastic manufacturing compared to its other common applications.
